KARACHI Dec 05 (TNS): The Sindh High Court on Tuesday annulled the provincial government’s decision to re-conduct entry tests for admission in government-run medical colleges following allegations of irregularities in the earlier examination.

The court, in its ruling, directed to retain the previous results of the entry test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) in October.

It further said any party may approach the Supreme Court regarding the matter if it may wish.

An investigation was launched after a questionnaire of the pre-admission test for medical colleges in the province was leaked a day before the exams.

Following the allegations, the Sindh government had decided to hold fresh pre-admission tests for government medical colleges in the province under the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The provincial government had announced its decision to re-conduct the exams in a notification, on the recommendation of a five-member committee formed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to investigate allegations of irregularities in the test.
