Another three labours gunned down in Balochistan

Quetta, Dec. 5 (TNS): Suspected militants on Tuesday gunned down at least three workers building a railway track in Balochistan, just days after a similar attack killed 20 migrants belong to Punjab.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but previous such attacks have been unleashed by rebel groups who are trying to sabotage CPEC-related construction projects on directions of Indian spy agencies.

The men killed on Tuesday evening at Nakas area of Hanai were part of a team working on a major Sibbi railway link.

Three labourer, died on the spot, one injured in the latest attack, officials said adding that the attackers later on set camp of labours on fire.

Balochistan’s Gwadar deep-water port is the exit point for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a planned route from China’s far western region of Xinjiang to the Arabian Sea, which is expected to start functioning by June 2018. Pakistan expects up to 4 percent of global trade to pass through it by 2020.
