CPEC source of connectivity in region: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD Dec 07 (TNS): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says economic cooperation is imperative for further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

He was talking to Ambassador of United Arab Emirates Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi who called on him in Islamabad.

Ahsan Iqbal said middle class in Pakistan consists of eighty million people which attracts attention of investors.

He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor will be the source of connectivity in the region.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to step up efforts to increase security cooperation between the two countries.

The UAE envoy appreciated the services of the interior minister on CPEC and economic matters.

Meanwhile, presiding over a meeting in Islamabad, the Interior Minister said that elimination of terrorism is top priority of the government and Counter Terrorism Force will be provided with latest weapons and resources.
