IG Islamabad urges traffic police to adopt zero-tolerance policy against corruption

Islamabad, Dec. 10 (TNS): IG Islamabad Sultan Azim Taimuri urged Islamabad traffic police to adopt zero-tolerance policy against corruption.

The top police official of the federal capital was addressing to traffic officers and youths here on Sunday.

In his speech, Taimuri said that it is responsibility of officers to monitor cops and if some policeman takes bribe the officer would be considered responsible for the crime.

He said that all officials should deal citizens politely and with good manners on the roads.

Earlier, IG Islamabad Sultan Azim Taimuri visited different departments of Traffic Office Islamabad.

Taimuri has served in the capital police as SP, SSP, AIG, and DIG in various wings, and replaced Khalid Khattak to assume charge of top slot.
