Senate body directs for action against violators of E-service project for CDA

ISLAMABAD, Dec 12 (TNS): Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication on Tuesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to figure out the culprits involved in violation of rules/funds embezzlement in E-service project for CDA.

The committee met under the chairmanship of Senator Sahi Syed while Senators Abdul Rehman Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Muhammad Javed Abbasi and Farhat ullah Babar also attended the meeting.

The body directed the CDA to recover 150 stolen PCs and hand over the culprits to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Chairman CDA Sheikh Ansar Aziz told the committee that out to 500 PCs, 152 has been stolen and rest 348 are present in CDA office.

Managing Director, Telephone Industry of Pakistan Ali Raza Gardezi told the committee that after completion of formalities of 26 pensioners out of 29 the restoration has been made for disbursement in the month of November, 2017.

Till the end of September 2017, cases of 2395 pensioners have been computerized and band accounts have been opened for monthly disbursement under the new system, he added.
