Muslim leaders have to make extraordinary decisions in unusual situations: Shahbaz Sharif

Istanbul, Dec. 12 (TNS): Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that leaders of Muslim Ummah have to make extraordinary decisions in unusual situation.

The Chief Minister said this after arriving in Istanbul on Tuesday night to attend the special OIC Summit on Al Quds Al Sharif.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Al Quds Al Sharif is one of the holiest cities for Muslims and US President’s Palestine policy is dangerous for the peace of the world.

“The OIC has to perform now as All Muslim countries have pinned their hopes to this summit,” Shahbaz said adding that “the Islamic Summit being held in Turkey must make decisions to satisfy Muslims’ emotions.

“The recognition of the United States to recognize occupied Jerusalem as capital of Zionist state hurt sentiments of Muslims around the world”, Shahbaz Sharif added.

Prime minister will represent Pakistan in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit on Wednesday to coordinate a response to US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital while Shahbaz Sharif specially invited to participate in the summit.

Pakistan will present its strong and clear position against this decision for the betterment of all the Muslims of the world.
