On World Arabic Day, new generation urged to learn the language

Islamabad, Dec. 19 (TNS): On World Arabic Language Day, experts emphasized to preserve the lingo for future generations.

In connection with World Arabic Language Day, a seminar held here in Islamabad to mark the day.

Experts said that Arabic is a sign of Muslims’ faith because the holy book Quran was sent to earth in this language.

They said that Arabic language is the real lingo of Muslims and it can unite the whole Umah.

A large number of children, who also attended the World Arabic Day function, demanded that there should be a separate subject on Arabic language in school syllabus.

Arabic lyricism and precision have contributed to the worlds of philosophy, science and the arts for more than 1,500 years. It unites people at opposite ends of the planet with their shared knowledge of its classical form.

Today, as dozens of countries around the world mark World Arabic Language Day in celebration of the language spoken by more than 420 million people, it is worth remembering why it is so important to preserve Arabic in all the forms and dialects in which it is practised today.
