Lahore, Dec. 21 (TNS): Controversial cleric Tahirul Qadri said announced to call an all parties conference on December 28, after which they would announce their future course of action.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed, Qadri said they are inviting all major political and religious parties, to hold consultation with them.

“The real case is that of the Model Town incident, all others would be opened on their time,” he said.

Earlier this week, the PAT chief had called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah to step down from their positions by December 31, in the light of the Model Town inquiry report.

The incident on June 17, 2014, had claimed lives of at least 14 people and left over 100 others injured during an ‘anti-encroachment operation’ by Punjab Police outside Idara Minhajul Quran in Lahore’s Model Town.

On Wednesday, Qadri had also announced launching a movement, ‘Tehreek-e-Qisas’, in response to ‘Tehreek-e-Adl’ announced by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, saying that he will announce his next course of action in case his demands are not met.
