CJP calls for improve quality of justice: CJP

Lahore, Oct. 15 (TNS): Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has said adherence to the due process of law must be ensured to improve the quality of justice.

He was addressing 2nd Punjab Women Judges Conference in Lahore on Sunday.
The Chief Justice said the constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all citizens and women and children have been given prerogative in this regard for protection of their rights.

Earlier, Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) announced the establishment of support centre in LHC.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of second Women Judges Conference, he said that he is well aware of the problems faced by women judges.

CJ LHC said that much work has been done for the rights of women in district courts while day care centre have been formed for their children.

He asserted that special benches have been established in high court to resolve the cases quickly.

The chief justice notified that modern technology is being used for the ease of litigants.

Provision of transparent and timely justice to people is being ensured, he added.
