United Nations, Dec. 21 (TNS): Pakistan urged world community to resolve core issue of Palestine to restore peace in the Middle East.
Addressing the meeting, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Dr. Maleeha Lodhi reiterated that the US decision to recognize occupied Jerusalem as so-called Israeli capital is contrary to law.
She said support to Palestinian cause is the pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
Maleeha Lodhi said an independent, contiguous Palestinian state with its borders prior to 1967 and al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital is the only solution of enduring peace in Middle East.
