Christians play pivotal role for country’s development: Shehbaz

LAHORE Dec22 (TNS): Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that all the minorities living in the country have been given complete religious freedom and equal rights as advocated by founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with Christmas celebrations in Lahore, he said that the Christian community is playing its role for the development of the country.

He said that the constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights and complete safety and security to all minorities.

Shahbaz Sharif announced a three-month remission in the imprisonment of Christian prisoners on the occasion of Christmas.
