Lahore, July 06 (TNS): A meeting was held at Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department in Lahore on Saturday with Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid in chair.
The meeting reviewed the measures for disposal of hospital waste in hospitals.
Addressing on the occasion, the Minister directed all Medical Superintendent of public hospitals to submit weekly report of disposal of hospital waste.
She said Hospital Waste Management Rules 2014 should be implemented regarding disposal of hazardous hospital waste.
Dr Yasmin Rashid directed concerned officials to activate committees for carrying hazardous hospital waste material safely.
The Minister said a project of four hundred million has been prepared for safe carrying and disposal of hospitals’ waste.
