Islamabad, Dec. 26 (TNS): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said Pakistan wants peace and unity among the Muslim countries by eliminating extremism.
Talking to Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said Pakistan and Qatar enjoy cordial relations based on strong religious and historical ties between the two countries.
He said the menace of terrorism would also be defeated by joint efforts of both the countries.
Matters pertaining to mutual interest, security and economic cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.
They agreed to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.
The Qatar’s Ambassador appreciated the role of Pakistan against terrorism.
