Mumbai, Dec. 26 (TNS): Anushka’s tweet, which was accompanied by a wedding picture with Virat Kohli, has become the ‘golden tweet of the year’, Indian media reported on Tuesday.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s nuptials have undoubtedly been the talk of the town this month.
And it seems like Twitter agrees.
Hindustan Times reports that according to a statement by the microblogging site, Anushka’s tweet, which was accompanied by a wedding picture, was the most retweeted post of the year.
Even though it’s only been a little over two weeks, it’s already become the ‘golden tweet of the year’.
“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” she wrote.
The happy couple hosted a grand reception in Mumbai on Tuesday night after a gorgeous destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy.
