BEIJING Dec 28 (TNS): China says the first China-Afghanistan-Pakistan foreign ministerial dialogue would help improve relations, build mutual trust and promote cooperation among the three countries.
In her regular briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Hua Chunying said Pakistan and Afghanistan are China’s traditional friendly neighbors and strategic partners.
She said China, Afghanistan and Pakistan have stepped up dialogue and cooperation in line with the common interests of the three countries to maintain regional peace and stability.
The spokesperson said China is willing to take this dialogue as an opportunity to push forward the interconnection among the three countries under “One Belt and One Road” framework.”
