MELBOURNE Dec 28 (TNS): On the third day of fourth test of Ashes series at Melbourne, England were 491 for nine at stumps today leading 164 runs in the 1st innings. Alastair Cook scored unbeaten 244 runs.
Earlier, Australia scored 327 runs in their first innings.
Australia lead the five match series 3-0.
