Teachers struggle yields fruit as CM Sindh approves regularization of NTS teachers

KARACHI, 30 Dec (TNS):  Finally, the teachers’ stiff struggle, bearing baton charge and dragging by police has yielded the results as Chief Minister Sindh has given approval for the regularization of NTS contract teachers, who were protesting for five days. The decision was taken in Sindh cabinet meeting on Saturday in Karachi.

The meeting decided that the regularization of the NTS teachers will come into effect through assembly act after getting bill pass from Sindh assembly.

It is also decided to get pass the Sindh education performance bill from provincial assembly aimed to make large scale reforms in Sindh education system to improve the education standards.

Talking to media after the cabinet meeting the provincial information minister Nasir Hussan Shah siad that cabinet has also decided to merge the Summit Bank into Sindh Bank.He also informed that the government owned building carrying the names of MQM leaders and their relatives would be replaced.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah expressed anger over the delay in preparation of police act roles 2017 draft and directed the law ministry to draft the roles in 15 days.

Cabinet has also mulled over the draft of proposed Sindh Welfare and Prevention to Cruelty of Animal Act 2017 as the secretary wild life Asif Haider apprised the cabinet over the act and said the proposed law aimed to  stop maltreatment of any domestic and captured animals is a punishable act and prevent animals from beating, lading excessive weight and frightening.

“It also carry ban on appeasing animals unnecessarily during transportation, animals’ fight and betting on animals fight,” he told.

To finalize the proposed law a committee comprises of minister for local bodies, secretary wild life and minister for live stock has been set up and it will finalize the rules in a week and present to minister will submit to minister of law.
