ISLAMABAD Jan 01 (TNS): CIA of Islamabad police has arrested fourteen persons including 11 women allegedly involved in looting houses and also recovered gold ornaments, watches, prize bonds and other valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following orders of SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani, SP (Investigation) Cap (Retd) Zeeshan Haider constituted a team under the supervision of DSP CIA Muhammad Ashraf Shah which included ASI Tasneem Ahmad and Fakhir Maqbool alongwith other officials.
This team worked hard and arrested a gang of 14 persons including 11 females looting houses in guise of house maids. Police recovered stolen valuables including 80 tola jewellary, prize bonds, cash worth 4, 40,000 rupees, precious watches, artificial jewelry and other items from their possession.
They have been identified as Asma BiBi, Kiran, Rukhsana, Naila, Yasmeen, Azra, Farhat, Saadia, Musarrat, Shagufta, Tanzeela, Zainab, Bilal, Shoukat Ali and Muhammad Mansha. During the investigation, they confessed to loot various house s in areas of Sihala, Lohi Bher, Ramna, Koral, Karachi Company, Golra Sharee, Industrial Area, Margalla, Shalimar, and Sadiq Abad of Rawalpindi. Further detailed investigation is underway from them.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated the performance of police team who arrested these thieves and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for members of police team. He has appealed the citizens to verify the bio data of domestic servants before employing them.
