Ambassador to China, Secretary Planning discuss expansion of CPEC projects

ISLAMABAD Jan 03 (TNS):  A number of projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor in energy, infrastructure and Gwadar Port are positively progressing and will be completed this year.

This was stated by Secretary Planning, Development and Reform Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui during meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khalid in Islamabad.

They discussed progress and issues of different projects in detail and shared ideas for promotion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

It was decided to activate interaction with Chinese authorities on different level to ensure early implementation of different planned initiatives in Transport Infrastructure, Energy, Gwadar Port and Industry sectors.

Masood Khalid said Chinese investors are expressing deep interest in the special economic zones, being developed under the CPEC.
