KARACHI, Jan 07 (TNS): Khawar Fareed Manika, the former husband of the Bushra Monika, rumoured to have married Imran Khan, alleged that his domestic life was disturbed after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader became a spiritual disciple of his wife.

“Our thirty-year long happy domestic life was disturbed after Imran became a spiritual disciple of my former wife,” said Fareed Manika who has served as Director General of Directorate of Transit Trade .Imran Khan and Bushra Maneka. He also set the record straight about his separation from Bushra bibi by saying that here is no truth to the rumours of Bushra obtaining khula from me.

“She neither obtained khula nor demanded it.” He added

Manika clarified that he granted a divorce to his then-wife three months ago.

“Imran proposed her as soon as her iddat period was over,” claimed Manika, adding that Bushra now resides with her mother in Lahore.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday rebutted reports of party chief Imran Khan’s third marriage, but said he has proposed marriage to a woman named Bushra Maneka.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari has also clarified the rumors of party chief Imran Khan’s third marriage and said he has not tied the knot yet.

“To set the record straight, Mr Khan proposed marriage to Ms Bushra Maneka; but Ms Maneka asked for time to make a final decision after consulting her family, including her children,” the PTI tweeted.

Mazari took to Twitter and shared a statement of chairman’s spokesperson stating, “To set the record straight, Mr Khan proposed marriage to Ms Bushra Maneka; but Ms Maneka asked for time to make a final decision after consulting her family, including her children.”
