NAB Chairman reviews performance of all the bureaus after he took the charge

ISLAMABAD, Jan 08 (TNS): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (R) javed Iqbal chaired a meeting at NAB headquarters here on Monday to review the performance of all the regional bureaus including headquarter of NAB and in particular the status of orders passed by Chairman after he took the charge of institution.

According to the statement issued by NAB the Divisions of prosecution, operation, awareness and redress have briefed the meeting about their performances.

Chairman Iqbal on the occasion has said that there are 173 verdicts of Supreme Court concerned to NAB. He directed the concerned officials to read all the verdicts carefully and there should not be any of the inquiries and investigations out of the ambit of law.

He said that it is ironey that the country is reeling under the debt of 84bn Dollars and on the other hand Mobile Phone Companies do not pay their annual tax worth Rs 400bn to CBR.

Justice Javed Iqbal, while expressing satisfaction over the three month performance of the institution has said that the nation has kept an eye of hope on NAB and every one affiliated to the institution has to work hard to take out the country from the curse of corruption.
