NAB orders Inquiry against Zaeem Qadri, Ahamad Hussain Dahir and Arif Azeem on corruption charges

ISLAMABAD, Jan 08 (TNS): NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal has issued orders to DG Lahore Bureau of NAB to investigate the complaint against Special Assistant for Higher Education Punjab, Mr Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri and others and present the report within two months.

Syed Zaigam Qadri and others are accused for obtaining unlawful benefits from Small Industrial Cooperative Employees Housing Society and grabbing land with the help of the administration of said Society.

According to the statement issued by NAB on Monday Chairman has taken stern notice of the matter and also took the notice against former Punjab Assembly Member from Multan, Ahamad Hussain Dahir and others for using unlawfully the jurisdiction and Gov’t funds to build rods and colonies on their lands and possessing wealth/properties beyond their known sources of income. He asked NAB’s Multan Bureau Chief to submit report in this regard within two months.

NAB Chairman has taken notice against ex-Chairman Railways, Arif Azeem who is said to have bought 58 substandard locomotives worth 15.3mn and 40 Power vans worth 4600mn from a Chinese Firm in violation with the set rules.

NAB Chairman has directed Lahore Bureau Chief to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a report in two months.
