India summons Pakistan envoy over alleged “ceasefire violations”

New Delhi, Jan. 19 (TNS): Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan Syed Haider Shah was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday.

India lodged a strong protest with Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner and he was conveyed Indian Government’s grave concerns at the alleged ceasefire violations by Pakistan forces along LoC and international border.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs has registered its strong protest at the loss of three innocent civilian lives besides injuries to nine other civilians in alleged ceasefire violations by Pakistan forces on January 18 and January 19, 2018 in Hiranagar, Samba, Ramgarh, R S Pura and Arnia sectors.

Development comes at a time when Pakistan summoned India’s Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh twice in the last two days over ceasefire violations by India.
