Islamabad, Jan. 20 (TNS): Pakistan is committed to strengthen South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) as an effective instrument of regional cooperation in South Asia, state media reported on Friday.

This was stated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood, while talking to SAARC Secretary General Amjad Hussain Sial during latter’s visit to India.
Amjad Sial is in India to attend the inaugural session of the International Conference of Women Entrepreneurs on “Innovation, Incubation and Industrialization”, being held in Andhra Pradesh from Wednesday.
Pakistan is among the founding members of SAARC, which also includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
