Medtronic offers support to Pakistan in solving healthcare challenges

DAVOS Jan 26 (TNS): The world’s largest integrated health and medical technology company, Medtronic, has offered support to Pakistan in solving the healthcare challenges and providing value-based healthcare system.

Talking to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Chairman and CEO, Medtronic, Omar Ishrak also offered to partner with the government in establishing state-of-the-art hospitals either through private investment or public-private-partnership.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister invited Medtronic to set up training and educational centers and partner with Pakistani hospitals for integrated health solutions.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi apprised the CEO Medtronic about the Prime Minister’s Health Program and the achievements made in immunization coverage across the country.

He also emphasized on collaborative projects in the field of healthcare research and development. Healthcare delivery models were also discussed during the meeting.
