Four hundred thousand people need humanitarian assistance there

UNITED NATIONS Jan 30 (TNS): The United Nations has called for a ceasefire in Syrian city of Ghauta where nearly four hundred thousand people need humanitarian assistance.

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syrian crisis Panos Moumtzis said that civilians in the besieged eastern Gauta are in dire need of food and medical supplies.

He called on donors to support the emergency response.
