ISLAMABAD Feb 07 (TNS): Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Miftah Ismail says the government is committed to consolidate the economic gains through reform process in revenue collection and in tax administration.
He was talking to British Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Gareth Bayley in Islamabad.
Miftah Ismail said the government had made significant progress in the areas of peace & security, economic stability, energy sufficiency and social protection.
He said that despite challenges the economy is moving forward on the path of inclusive growth and the government is determined to achieve 6% growth target in 2018.
Gareth Bayley assured the support and cooperation of the government of UK for economic reforms as well as for regional cooperation initiatives.
