Govt will not allow anything to hamper the course of national development: PM

ISLAMABAD Feb 09 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the government made legislation for FATA reforms and now efforts are underway to bring tax reforms to generate more revenues.

In an interview with a private TV channel, he said there has been instability in the country after Panama issue, but the government could not let it to hamper the course of national development.

The Prime Minister said the party’s top forums would decide as to who would be the next prime minister.

He said civil-military relations are excellent and unanimous decisions are being taken at the National Security Committee.

About the government change in Balochistan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said such actions in no way benefited the democracy.

He said Pakistan always supported talks with India and the meeting of Kulbhushan Jhadev with his family was a humanitarian gesture.

The Prime Minister said India is frustrated over ongoing indigenous movement in Occupied Kashmir which is getting beyond its control.

About Afghanistan, the Prime Minister said Afghan conflict could only be resolved by Afghans.
