RAWALPINDI Feb 10 (TNS): Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) has commenced an arduous task of up gradation and widening of Skardu- Jaglot road. Road is only link between Gilgit and Skardu, said an ISPR press release.
The project encompass 164 KM long road in most treacherous area all along Indus River. Road design includes 5 tunnels one of which is eight KMs long.

The road when completed shall reduce Jaglot- Skardu traveling time from presently about 8 hours to less than 3 hours. Project will be completed in 2 years.
FWO has to its credit so many such challenging projects including 1300 KM long historical KKH and thousands of KM roads network in difficult areas of FATA and Balochistan.
