Aspiring Rawalpindi cricketer dies in Sargodha after being hit by ball on chest

SARGODHA, Feb 10 (TNS):An aspiring cricketer of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Abu bakar died here on Sunday after being struck by a ball on his chest while fielding during a club match in Sargodha.

A tall built Abu Bakar, who was serving as office coordinator in High Court Office Rawalpindi was busy in playing in a local ground in Shahpor when a fast travelling ball struck his chest.

He then started bowling but fell down after bowling three bowls of his over.

He was rushed to the hospital but breathed his last while being on way to the hospital.

He was a tall well-built fast bowler aspiring to play for Pakistan.

The tragic death of the 18-year-old sent shockwaves among his friends, office mates and local cricket community.
