Mushahidullah attends spring tree planation campaign

Islamabad, Feb 15 (TNS): Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan has attended   spring plantation campaign 2018 in Islamabad.

He said that tree-planters strenuous efforts have made the Islamabad beautiful and green. He further said through the green Pakistan project we will be planted saplings of different species across the country to enhance the beauty of the country. He further said that the Ministery for Climate Change will provide technical assistance to Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation.  He said Green Pakistan Project is a historical step of current government. The program on Revival of Forest Resources has an estimated cost of Rs.3.652 billion, whereas that on wildlife is Rs.1.065 billion. Since a large scale national program has been launched on making the country green hence it required commemoration at national level, he added. He said we need to create awareness among masses about deforestation and  told the participants that Islam also teaches us to grow trees.
