Karachi, Feb 16 (TNS): Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the spring tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at Chief Minister’s House on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said five hundred thousand trees will be planted across the province during the campaign. He said that at least seventy million saplings will be planted in the province during the coming four months.
It is moral duty to all of us that we must be put clean our land line with green trees that create a peaceful, ornament ally pleasing environment, he said. The plants give us aesthetic beauty and clean environment, he said. He urged that more number of plants should be planted in the city. He appealed people of Sindh to participate in spring plantation and make the province green. He said people can take sapling free of cost from Forest Department Sindh. He directed forest department to take steps to achieve certain targets.
