Karachi Feb 24(TNS): A woman was taken into custody after her husband’s charred body was found in their house in New Karachi.
According to police, the burnt and blackened body of Muhammad Kaleem, who had married Saima barely three months back, was found at his residence on Saturday morning.
The police have taken Saima into custody over the homicide after the brother of the deceased suspected her involvement in the killing.
According to the police, the couple had been not on good terms since when they married as it was Kaleem’s second marriage with Saima.
Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased staged a protest demonstration outside Bilal Colony Police Station, placing the charred body on the road. They also burnt bonfire and alleged that Saima and two of her relatives were behind the killing of Kaleem. They also alleged that the police were showing laxity in arresting the suspects. The protest was underway till the filing of this report.
