Lahore, Feb 26 (TNS): Lahore Development Authority former director general Ahad Cheema met his wife on Monday and told her that he was not tortured by the anti-graft body officials.

According to sources, the meeting between Cheema and his wife continued for about one hour and Cheema was reported to have told his wife that he had not been threatened by the accountability body and he was being provided all facilities. Cheema told his wife not be worried about his custody. His wife informed him about the Punjab bureaucracy’s tough stance on his arrest and their likely strike for his release.

The top bureaucrat was arrested by the NAB last week over charges of corruption in Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal involving billions of rupees. Details of 21 properties owned by Cheema in Pakistan and abroad had surfaced.
