Islamabad, March 2 (TNS): The city traffic police have introduced electronic and digital ticketing system to issue challans over traffic violations.
Senior Superintendent of Police Malik Matloob said that at least 70 trained officers have been deployed and 1,760 cash points have been set up at different locations for submitting fine fee. The traffic officers will also educate motorists and commuters about the new scheme, issue warning-slips to the drivers in case they break traffic rules.
He said the e-ticketing system will help drivers in many ways and clear the manual mess.
