Karachi, March 4 (TNS): Young chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday that his party was in contact with all opposition parties to elect its chairman in the upper house of parliament.
Speaking to media person here, Bilawal said: “We will try to elect our Senate chairman with the support of other opposition parties”.
However he cleared that no contacts have yet been made with rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in this respect.
To a question, PPP chairman said the ruling party should bring its chairman if it has popular numbers in the Upper House of the Parliament.
He explained: “the seats claimed by PML-N in the Senate were actually independent candidates consequently my party has the largest representation in the Upper House of the Parliament”.
