Islamabad 87 (TNS): A day after TNS carried a story about the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in the Golra area of Islamabad, the Golra police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two suspects, identified as Haider and Usman.
The victim girl was identified as Nasreen, the daughter of Muhammad Adil.
The incident came to light when passersby noticed the girl inside a hut at a deserted slum in F-12 sector of Islamabad on Wednesday, the police said.
An official told TNS that the police shifted the body to PIMS for autopsy and other medical formalities. Officials told TNS that the girl was apparently raped and murdered.
Police said that the two suspects have been taken into custody and their DNA test will be conducted before matching it with the medical report of the victim.
