Lahore March 9 (TNS): Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif while taking notice of the death of man caused by the kite string, suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police and Station House Office Sabzazar on Friday.
A man riding a motorcycle along with his brother was passing through the Sabzazar area when a chemical-coated kite string wrapped around his neck and slit his throat resulting in his death.
The chief minsiter suspended the DSP and the SHO Sabzazar for failing to stop people from kites.
Sharif directed the police to ensure implementation of the ban on kite-flying, use of metallic kite string and strict action against the violators.
