Woman among four held in PTI leader murder case

Islamabad March 13 (TNS): The Lohibher police have taken into custody four persons including a woman for their alleged involvement in the murder of a local PTI leader, whose tortured-body was found in the jungle near Bani Gala on February 23.

Raja Yair, a local leader of the PTI from the Tumair area of Bani Gala, was found dead in the jungle two days after he went missing under mysterious circumstances.

The local police after registering an FIR investigated the case through different angles and on Tuesday claimed to have solved the blind murder mystery.

The police have taken the widow and three other suspects including Shahad and Waseem, who during the investigation spilled the beans about their involvement in kidnapping Raja Yasir from the Pakistan Town area on February 21, and later killing him before dumping his body in the Lakhwal area of Bani Gala. The victim was reported to be the cousin of PTI Islamabad chapter President Khurram Nawaz

The police said that further investigation was underway.
