Islamabad, March 14 (TNS): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written a letter to the Foreign Office (FO) to contact the US State Department to bring back former ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani, wanted in the memogate scandal.
In the letter, the FIA said that the FO inform the US officials about the sensitivity of the case and request to cooperate in repatriating the former envoy. The FIA has said that the former ambassador was also involved illegally using a secret fund $0.72 million. The FO’s American Desk will review the FIA’s letter before contacting the US Officials, sources said.
