Gujranwala March 16 (TNS): The Gujranwala police have taken two members of a gang allegedly involved in sexually raping girls as young as 16 years of age and selling the lewd videos at their shop.

The police raided the video selling shop at Kohluwala after the sexually obscene video clips circulated in the market. During the raid, the police arrested two suspected rapists, identified as Tariq and Rashid, who confessed to sexually assaulting six girls aged 15 and 16 and filming the act and selling it at their shop and in the market.

According to the police, none of the sexual victims has come forward to lodge a complaint against the gang member ostensibly to protect their honour.

The police have registered an FIR against the two arrested persons and started further investigation.

After the scandal surfaced, locals and traders took to the streets and staged demonstrations in different parts of Gujranwala. They demanded that the arrested rapists should be hanged immediately to make them an example for others.

Meanwhile, Karachi Samanabad police have taken a four-member gang alleged involved sexually assaulting and filming young girls.

On a tip-off, the police raided a farmhouse and nabbed the alleged gang members identified as Ghufran, Aafaq, Mirza and Shaukat and seized obscene videos, a Kalashnikov and other material from them.

According to the police, the gangsters would take college girls to the farmhouse, sexually assault them and film the whole episode and later blackmail the victim girls, asking them to bring other girls at the farmhouse for the debauchery.
