UN Secretary-General condemns Raiwind blast

United Nations, March 16 (TNS): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned Wednesday’s terrorist attack near a religious gathering at Raiwind in the outskirts of Lahore, says a statement issued by the United Nations.

In a statement, Guterres extended his condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The statement said the UN supported the efforts of Government of Pakistan to fight terrorism with full respect for international human rights norms and obligations.

At least 11 people including policemen were martyred in suicide blast at police check post near Tableeghi Markaz in Raiwind.
