Islamabad/Sharjah, March 17 (TNS): Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was quiet pensive in his post-match press conference on Thursday as his side suffered successive defeats to Lahore Qalandars and league leaders Islamabad United.

The Champions Trophy 2017 winning captain also seemed irresolute about his sides’ availability of overseas players and acknowledged that he is as unsure as the team-management over the unwillingness of players coming to Pakistan.

Quetta skipper confirmed that Kevin Pietersen has refused to travel to the country though Shane Watson is yet to make up his mind on travelling to Pakistan and will consult his family.

South African explosive middle order batsman Rillee Rossouw remains undecided on whether to take part in play-off berths in Pakistan or not.

However Australian Pacer Ben Laughlin and left-arm-orthodox Chris Green have given assurance that they will represent Quetta in Play offs.

The Dynamic skipper Sarfraz stated “In the Worst Scenario if our first-choice overseas players opt against of going to Pakistan then we’ll have a back-up option to pick players from the redraft process”

Sarfraz conceded that his side must pick themselves up from the dismal showings in the recent games in Sharjah.

He further added that his side did not suffer defeat because of lack of focus or motivation but succumbed under pressure because the opposition outplayed them.

Quetta will play their first play-off in Lahore against Peshawar Zalmi on 20th March as they look to book a place in the Final.
