Mardan March 17 (TNS): In yet another horrifying incident, a seven-year-old boy was sexually raped in Mardan.
The police have arrested the alleged rapist and sent him behind the bars.
Turo Police Station House Officer Wajid Khan told TNS that the alleged rapist, Zeeshan, has been taken into custody after he sexually assaulted seven-year-old Shah Faisal while he was returning home from a local seminary.
According to the police official, the victim’s mother had lodged a complaint with the police that the alleged rapist, Zeeshan, took her son to an abandoned place and raped him before fleeing and going into hiding.
After registering the case, the police raided a hideout and arrested the alleged rapist, who was later presented before a local magistrate, seeking his physical remand. The magistrate gave the rapist into police custody on a two-day physical remand.
The victim was sent to Mardan Medical Complex for a DNA test and the police were yet to receive the medical report.
A few months back, seven-year-old girl Asma was raped and murdered in Mardan. Later, the police claimed to have arrested the suspect, Muhammad Nabi, who later confessed before a local court to have raped and murdered the young girl.
