Islamabad March 22 (TNS): The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the newly formed Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate Rao Anwar, the main suspect in the Naqeebullah Mehsood murder case, at the earliest without any pressure.
The apex court in its detailed verdict in the suo moto case Naqeebullah murder said that the JIT completed the investigation transparently and without any fear and trepidation.
The apex court also said that Rao Anwar’s name should be put on the exit control list and the JIT must investigate the case without being influenced by media reports or order of superior courts.
The verdict also said that Sindh Police chief AD Khawaja will directly be responsible for the security of Rao Anwar. The apex court also said that the members of the Mehsud tribe will do no harm to Rao Anwar.
