Srinagar, March 23 (TNS): Indian police on Friday registered an FIR against Dukhtaran-e-Millat (Daughters of the Nation) chief Asiya Andrabi hours after the radical women’s outfit celebrated ‘Pakistan Day’ and raised slogans in favour of Pakistan in Srinagar.

A police official said, “A case has been registered against Dukhtaran-e-Millat over a video which has gone viral. It has come to our notice that the group’s activists have indulged in certain unlawful activities. They have also raised anti-national slogans and have given hate and provocative speeches.”

“She has not been arrested so far but may be called for questioning soon,” he said.

Burqa-clad Andrabi, who is associated with the Hurriyat faction led by Syed Ali Geelani, had been booked for similar offences in the past.
