Swabi March 24 (TNS): Police on Saturday destroyed a large swathes of fields cultivated with opium poppies in the Gadoon area of Swabi.
The police destroyed the opium poppies in Mangal Chai, Dalvadi Chani and adjoining areas and destroyed the cultivated harvest on 200-kanal of land.
Police said that the clamped down on the cultivation of the poppies will continue.
