ISLAMABAD March 26 (TNS): While taking notice of a viral photo showing the passing of a funeral through sewage in Hujra Shah Muqeem in Okara, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has summoned all municipal committee members on March 29.

When a three-member bench headed by the chief justice took up suo motu case, the Shah Muqeem town councilor told the court that he was a part of the funeral procession and he has identified the place and the sewerage system will be fixed.

The chief justice said that they have to tell the people that they were working for their welfare and wellbeing.

Justice Nisar regretted that sewage must have fallen on the clothing of the funeral participants and wondered how they offered the funeral prayer.
