Karachi March 26 (TNS): After the Election Commission of Pakistan roved him as convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, Dr Farooq Sattar on Monday strongly condemned the verdict saying the decision was the handiwork of hidden hands and it was managed and engineered and the day will be remembered as a ‘black day’ in the country’s history.

He minced no words when he said that the verdict was managed and he was punished for taking a stand against Altaf Hussain after his vitriolic speech. He said that the MQM-P which he had saved was punished.

He said that it was beyond the mandate of the ECP to interfere in internal matters of political parties and refrain from giving verdicts at the behest of certain forces. He said that there was much more than meets the eyes.

He alleged that hidden forces were bent on further splitting the MQM-P and the hidden forces wanted their mandate and votes and seats to be divided among the PTI, the PSP and the MMA. He claimed that the rest of seats will be given to the Bahadurabad Group, which will face the same fate in days to come once they become ‘unimaginable’.

He alleged that the ECP at the behest of the hidden forces has played its role in destroying the MQM-P and its mandate. He warned that the decision has set a bad precedent and it will deal a debilitating blow to the political system.  He said that politics should not be managed and engineered anymore.

He challenged that how the forces could manage the vote bank of Muhajir voters sans him.
