Muzaffargarh, March 27 (TNS): A man, his wife and their daughter were allegedly given toxic tea by one of their close family members in the Tonsa Bairaj area of Muzaffargarh.
Rescue sources said that the three victims, who were later shifted to hospital, had had tea with a close family member identified as Akhtar.
According to the family members, Akhtar has a property dispute with the victims and he wanted to eliminate them to grab their land. Akhtar has reportedly fled the scene.
The identity of the victims could not be ascertained immediately. The rescue team shifted them to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
